Me again. I'm flattered that you're interested in my story (unless
you hit the wrong button and got here by accident).
Well here goes. Before Al's Coffee, I was a
coffee equipment service guy for many years and I learned a lot
about the OCS business. Mainly, how to do things better. So in 1996
I rolled the dice and bought a used red van, a couple machines, and
a van load of coffee. It had to be a "van load" of coffee because,
well, my van was also my warehouse. Now all I needed was a good
name. Being the creative genius that I am, I called it Al's Coffee.
Now
back in the sixties when the Office Coffee Business got started, you had
to be one of the big coffee roasters with big bucks to get in the game.
But not so in 1996. All I needed was a name like Al, a big red van and a
better way to do things. Like one: no contracts. Just a hand shake and a
smile. Two: no excuses. I know how important a cup of coffee can be, so
when there's a problem, I solve it, now. And three: no weekends. That's
when the fish are biting.
Well I could go on, but lets be honest.
You've got work to do, and my story isn't exactly Speilberg
material. |
